Climate Lab is currently looking to fill internship positions in Washington DC for Spring 2010. Descriptions and contact information below.
Climate Lab, Washington, DC
Application Deadline: Currently open
Climate Lab (climatelab.org), a DC-based nonprofit working on climate change issues, is seeking enthusiastic interns and volunteers to join our team in the areas of content management, outreach and development.
Interns have the opportunity to research and write about climate change-related issues, work with partner organizations, manage communications, maintain our website, and assist in building our organizational capacity. They also have the chance to attend meetings and events, manage projects, and carry out special assignments. (More details below.)
Ideal candidates will have strong research and writing skills, an interest in climate change, and enjoy working in a startup environment. These are not your typical filing, paper-pushing internships! Interns at Climate Lab are given real responsibilities and have the opportunity to gain a wide breadth of experience in a small environmental nonprofit.
Internships can be either full or part-time (2-3+ days/week). Students welcome!
Responsibilities can include:
Content Management
Outreach and Development
Relevant Skills
Compensation: Unpaid or for credit.
To Apply: Please send a resume, cover letter, and 2 writing samples (1-4 pages each) to Adam Tapley at atapley[at]climatelab.org. Please indicate any focus areas of interest in your cover letter.
