User:Tom Adkins

Tom Adkins is a Board Member and co-founder of Climate Lab, and directs technology development for the organization.  He is also the founder of the successful technology consulting firm Open Organize.  The firm, which specializes in creating custom web applications and internal databases for social sector organizations, has extensive experience with wikis and Web 2.0 applications, and in two-years of operation has served clients in government, education, international development, the environmental movement, and the labor movement.

Prior to founding Open Organize, Tom worked extensively in Democratic Party politics and for progressive non-profits, as a campaign manager, communications specialist, and field organizer. A native of Boston, Tom has worked and lived in Washington DC, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Oregon, where he graduated from Portland State University.
